Mojave Vista Elementary School provides learning opportunities to more than 900 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as reading, science, social studies and mathematics. The school also offers art and music enrichment programs and organizes junior Olympics and science fairs. It operates a computerized reading intervention skills program for students in intermediate grades. The school additionally offers summer school, individual intervention tutoring and extended day care programs. It involves parents in several organizations, including English language advisory council, parent advisory committee, parent-teacher organization and school site council. The school s behavior management committee meets monthly to generate and update a behavioral plan.
