We had a blast when we went. DISHES WERE CLEAN! Everyone gets to join in the fun at the table and my kids loved it! It's a nice place to go for something different and fun. Their food is delicious and we are definatly going back!!

Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is the BEST in B'ham! My family and I have been going to Ichiban for years. The staff at Ichiban make us feel like family from the time we walk in the door to the time we leave. The food is GREAT!!!!!

RATING-Zero!! I went to Ichiban in Birmingham, AL after Christmas day 2007. All 8 plates were dirty on the table. It looked like stuck on rice. The staff acted indifferent and rude about this. All I wanted to do was leave since this took away my appetite and made me sick. How did I know what was in the soup bowl or salad bowl brought to the table? I had a few sips of soda and green tea only and was charged $6.54 for this before leaving. I called the manager to ask if this was normal for the restaurant. She said she was the one that took my money and all she could do was apologize. Needless to say, this place is a health hazard. However,one poor lady at the table actually wiped off her own plate in preparation to eat there. I hope she didn't get botulism. For me, there was nothing to do but get out of there. I didn't care if the food was the best tasting in the whole world. I don't want to eat on dirty dishes with rude and indifferent staff. $25 entrees should come with a clean plate!
