- Dental ExaminationAs part of our commitment to new patients, we offer a complimentary CBCT scan during their initial examination using our Vatech Green2 CBCT. This scan produces detailed images of a patient’s dental, oral, and airway health, providing valuable information for our comprehensive examination.
- X-raysThe Vatech Green2 CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is an X-ray scanning equipment that creates a 3D view and cross-sections of scanned areas. When taking a CBCT, we can see and diagnose more accurately than conventional dental X-rays. Our doctors will not only evaluate every tooth (detecting any chronic/silent abscesses, fractures, or bone loss), but they also evaluate your sinuses, nasal passage, airway, and TMJ joint. This scanning system's digital images help our dentists analyze the areas scanned to assist in treatment planning.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOral Cancer Screening. Oral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. our doctors will complete a thorough clinical exam of all the oral tissue to check for any changes in the tissue consistencies and/or lesions. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.
- Teeth CleaningA dental cleaning, also known as oral prophylaxis, removes dental plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Specialized instruments are used to remove these deposits without harming the teeth gently. First, an ultrasonic device that emits vibrations and is cooled by water is used to loosen larger pieces of tartar. Next, hand tools remove smaller deposits and manually smooth the tooth surfaces.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride. A natural substance that helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay, fluoride treatments are administered at this office as an important component of dental care. The fluoride is applied to the teeth in a gel, foam, or varnish form.
- Dental SealantsDental Sealants. Made of a safe resin material, dental sealants are applied to the surfaces and crevices of teeth (commonly permanent molars) to prevent cavities. Sealants “seal” off the tooth from cavity-causing agents like food and plaque. Applied in one visit, the teeth are prepared for the sealant application and the sealant is painted directly onto the chewing surface of each tooth and then hardens.
- FillingsAnother important reason composite fillings have replaced amalgam fillings is that they do not use mercury, which was present in metal fillings. Many patients are choosing to have their older amalgam fillings replaced with tooth-colored fillings for this reason.
- Resin CompositeMade using composite resin, these may be made in the dental office or in a dental lab and are less expensive than porcelain veneers. They can alter the appearance of tooth color, size, or shape and can be an effective solution for less extensive cosmetic improvements. They are fully customized as are the porcelain veneers, but the composite material is somewhat susceptible to staining and does not last as long as porcelain.
- VeneersVeneers cover the front of the tooth surface and slightly wrap around the sides and biting edge of the tooth. In most cases, each tooth receiving a veneer will be carefully prepped prior to the veneer fabrication and placement. This preparation involves removing a thin (usually less than one millimeter) layer of enamel from the natural tooth in the areas that will be covered by the veneer. This allows the veneer to fit seamlessly with the contours of the natural tooth. The veneers are attached using a thin but strong bonding material. The material hardens when cured by a specialized light.
- CrownsTo create a permanent restoration, such as a bridge or crown, can be placed to restore a tooth, our team will use advanced technology to obtain a digital impression of your teeth and gums. The digital image will ensure that the new restoration fits appropriately in your mouth to restore your smile. Learn more about Digital Impressions
- BridgesThis is the most common type of dental bridge. The existing teeth are crowned with one or more pontics between and held in place by the crowned abutments. The crowns are cemented onto the teeth adjacent to the missing teeth to create a support structure or “bridge” for the missing teeth.
