BCBG Max Azria Group is the lifetime vision of one man: founder and designer Max Azria. In 1981, after more than 10 years of designing a line of women s wear in his native Paris, he moved to the United States and launched, Jess, a series of new concept retail boutiques offering hip French fashion to American women. Azria decided to target his dream of launching a design house that could fulfil the needs of modern women. In 1989, the BCBG Max Azria brand was born. Named for the French phrase bon chic, bon genre, a Parisian slang term meaning good style, good attitude, the company is a combination of European sophistication and American spirit. BCBG Max Azria Group is in Vernon, Calif.
