Our houseboats are located at the Venice Marina in Venice, Louisiana. Venice is located at the mouth of the Mississippi River, which empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Venice is the nation's largest estuary and nowhere else in the nation does the continental shelf come closer than off of the mouth of the Mississippi River. This lends to some of the world's best fishing, both fresh and saltwater. In one day of fishing it is possible to catch Large-Mouth Bass, Speckled Trout, Red Fish and Flounder, all in the same area. Found offshore are Blue Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Red Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, Maihi-Mahi and every other species of blue water fish. It is not unusual to spot Porpoise and even Whales breaching. This area is home to large migrations of all varieties of ducks and geese. If you love fishing, duck hunting and nature, there is no place like Venice!
