The Venice Utilities System consists of a reverse osmosis water treatment plant, the distribution system and a water reclamation facility. Its water production division works to protect health, safety and welfare of citizens. The system also supports a cross connection support program that involves site surveys and inspections of individual properties. The Venice Utilities System operates a distribution division that is responsible for the repair and maintenance of underground piping, including potable and raw water and reuse distribution mains. It also maintains more than 900 fire hydrants and is comprised of over 20 personnel. The system s water production division offers a continuous supply of clean, potable water for daily needs and fire protection.
