Incompetence or negligence? You decide. My annual tenant (who was in place when I signed with Laura B. Kopple in 2016) left mid-March, 2017. The agent, Patti Calkin, never activated new listing. I trusted that their vested interest was renting my property. Evidently not. Patti assured me home was listed on their site & Zillow. Not! When I asked to speak with Owner/Broker Kopple I was told, "She said we can give you your keys back." No further comment. What? I asked, "She refuses to speak with me?" Again, "She said we can give you back your keys." Later, Patti verbally apologized. Yup, her mistake. I'm out almost $5K. All's forgiven, then? Not! BBB & State AG will be hearing from me. PS as soon as I found out (after 4 months with severe health issues) I immediately posted on Zillow & got 14 inquiries in 2 days! I referred each prospective tenant to WAY more competent & reliable Home & Condo Management Company in Venice, FL.
