General Info

I remember when I was 4 or 5 years old, I wanted to own a pie & cake shop. I guess I didn't know way back then that it was called a bakery. I just knew that I wanted to make pretty cakes and pies! Growing up in the country, everything was homemade. My mama was the best cook in the world. I know other people say that but in my case, it was true! She was known as the Biscuit Queen! Nobody could make biscuits like her! Believe me, we have all tried! I graduated when I was 16 and started working full time and forgot about opening my pie & cake shop. I started working in a pharmacy and was a pharmacy technician for most of my adult life. I never lost my love for cooking and I baked a lot! I would take a cake recipe and make cupcakes because they were easier to share. About 3 or 4 years ago mama told me I should stop giving all those baked goods away and I should start selling them. I loved the idea but since I was in my fifties, I thought I was too old to change professions.I remember when I was 4 or 5 years old, I wanted to own a pie & cake shop.
