Established in 1979, Harmon's IGA is a locally owned chain of supermarkets and a member of IGA. Founded in 1926, IGA, also known as Independent Grocers Alliance, is one of the world s largest voluntary global supermarket networks. The alliance includes over 4,000 supermarkets worldwide and offers more than 2,000 quality-assured IGA private-label products that are proprietary to the IGA retailers. Harmon's IGA s stores offer food stamps, greeting cards, faxing and photocopy services, video rentals, postage stamps, gift certificates, lottery tickets and check cashing. Its stores maintain full-service deli, produce, dairy, meat, beverages, frozen foods, bakery, and health and beauty departments. In addition, the stores have a floral section, which provides flower delivery and arrangement services. It operates SmartSource.com, which provides money-saving coupons; and meals.com, which provides meal planning and cooking tips. Harmon's IGA maintains a store location in Vandalia, Ill.
