Vance Elementary School enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in reading, fine arts, math, science, and technology and physical education. The school also provides special education programs for gifted and talented students. Vance Elementary School offers the Title I program. In addition, it offers guidance counseling, community and food services. The school operates a library and media center, parent-teacher association, yearbook club and student council. Vance Elementary School organizes spelling bee competitions. It is a part of the Tuscaloosa County School System, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. The district s schools include Brookwood Elementary School, Duncanville Middle School and Holt High School.
