Vallejo Police Department s mission is to provide professional law enforcement service that enhance, protect and promote the quality of life for persons residing, visiting, or doing business in Vallejo, Calif. The department operates through divisions, such as the communications division and the detective division. The detective division is responsible for follow-up investigation of felony crimes reported to the Vallejo Police Department. The communications division handles all calls for police, fire and medical assistance in the greater Vallejo area. It handles approximately 125,000 incidents per year. Vallejo Police Department s police cadets perform a variety of civilian field and office law enforcement work in direct support of sworn and non-sworn personnel.
