The Hospice of South Georgia, operational since 1987, provides nursing assistance and health care services. The organization offers hospice care services for terminally ill individuals throughout Lowndes County and Valdosta in Georgia. It offers bereavement counseling, community education, and family, grief and spiritual support services. The Hospice of South Georgia accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance plans. Its services are available in Langdale Hospice House, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. The organization is a nonprofit organization that accepts donations from individuals and institutions. The Hospice of South Georgia is a member of the Georgia Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (GHPCO) and the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
