General Info
Hi. I'm Quentin Danziger, otherwise known as Colorado Asbestos Inspector #12781. Since 2003, I have owned and operated Indoor Environmental Services, Inc, Vail, and Colorado. The State of Colorado takes it's Asbestos Laws very seriously. Violations can cost up to $25,000 per violation, per day, plus significant jail time. Individuals and Companies are both liable. The rules are clear. Following them starts with an asbestos inspection performed by a Colorado State Certified Asbestos Building Inspector, working for a Colorado State Certified Asbestos Consulting Firm. I am both, so just give me a call or complete the contact form to the right. I'll give you the facts you need to stay out of trouble&at least where asbestos is concerned. Asbestos is the name given to a number of naturally occurring, fibrous silicate minerals mined for their useful properties such as thermal insulation, chemical and thermal stability, and high tensile strength. The current Federal definition of asbestos is the asbestiform varieties of: Chrysotile (serpentine); crocidolite (riebeckite); amosite (cummingtonite / grunerite); anthophyllite; tremolite; and actinolite. Exposure to airborne friable asbestos may result in a potential health risk because persons breathing the air may breathe in asbestos fibers. Continued exposure can increase the amount of fibers that remain in the lung.
