Dr. Andrea Barrett, MD is an orthopedic surgery specialist in Uvalde, Texas. She graduated from the University Of Washington School Of Medicine and completed specialty training in Orthopaedics at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She continued on the faculty in the Orthopaedic Department before going into private practice. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Barrett is trained to detect and treat damage to the musculoskeletal system, including the tendons, ligaments, joints, bones, muscles and nerves. Patients may require the attention of an orthopedic surgeon for sports injuries, sprains, torn ligaments, fractures, arthritis, nerve entrapment and more. Once a diagnosis has been achieved, Dr. Barrett will educate the patient about treatment options and make recommendations from those options. Treatment may include non-surgical as well as surgical options.
