Took my son here for his road test. Erin was wonderful! My son was nervous, she was very patient and kind with him to put him at ease. After the test she professionally gave him her input along with some tips. I definitely recommend American Driver Testing.

I went here to get my motorcycle skills test done and Wayne and Erin are wonderful people. Erin was very thorough in explanations prior to each exercise. She showed diagrams of what was expected and even walked the course to explain what needed to be done. She made sure I understood the exercise fully before having me execute the required task. All this and extremely friendly as well.

I went to Erin for my first drivers test and she was wonderful. She paid close attention to my driving habits, gave me constructive feedback, and was very nice and completely reasonable. She explained everything very well and (in my opinion) was very professional. I would definitely go to her again if I had to.

Went there for my motorcycle test. They were backed up with people testing before me. Guy right before me broke the brake cable on their rental. Lady waited at least a half hour for a relative to come with his bike for me to use. She went out of her way to allow me to be able to test that day. Lady and her husband were genuinely very nice people. Held conversations while waiting and made it clear she was sincerely sorry about the rental. Definitely would suggest this place for anyone and everyone looking to do any type of testing. Grateful they went out of their way for me. Took time off of work to be able to test. Great people. Definitely a 6/5 rating.

My license was expired for a few years so I needed to take a road test. I called around many places I was quite anxious to get my license back I went with the first place that had the first availability. Huge mistake! First off they are the only ones that require you to give them a credit card to hold the appointment in case you don't show up/ on time so they can charge you. She seemed kind of jumpy and anxious which did not put me at ease at all. Long story short this scam. She fails you in the parking phase, from what I've read almost always on parallel and or blind spot parking. Problem is she failed me based entirely on the blind spot parking. It takes six points to fail you and stop you from going on the road. I was told I could use as many maneuvers as I could to align the car for The maneuver. I performed in 2. 0 points should been assigned. Found out today you can only get a maximum of five! Please email ThirdPartyTesting@michigan.gov if this has happened to you!

Test is performed exactly as specified in the State of Michigan Road Skills Test Study Guide and Erin is a great evaluator. I would highly recommend everyone to go here. Can't say enough good things about this company.

My son took his driving test with Erin. She was very professional and made sure we were fully prepared to take the test upon our arrival. She was friendly and made him feel at ease. She gave clear directions in both parking and driving. After reading the negative reviews here, I seriously doubt their validity. Erin did her job and did it well, making sure that my son was a safe driver! I would highly recommend her!

Erin at American Driver Testing has tested 2 of my kids, and their tests were done exactly the way I would want every new new driver tested. Tough but fair, and a detailed review of their performance when done. Kudos to Erin for providing such a professional service to the community.

She just wants her $50 and wants to get it as many times from you as she can. grab. Not sure she's running on the up an up either. Giving more points than needed during the parking test then saying you'll have too many to do the road test. The parking and the road are each separate sets of points. I can't recommend. Just a money grab for her. Fail and hope she gets you again for another $50 cash.

Im sorry you feel this way. The 6 foot line is painted in the parking lot & does not move. My lot is approved by the State of Michigan. The vehicle is measured from this line. So for you to say I do not test as per state guidelines is incorrect. I test exactly how the State of Michigan requires me to. Applicants are required to show proof of their permits & current vehicle information in order to test. I do wish people posting these negative reviews were actually present for this test.

I have nothing nice to say about American Driver Testing in Shelby Township, and neither did the people who went on a road test before us. Erin was utterly distasteful! Don't make the same mistake that I did. Go to a professional, respectable driving school where they will treat you fairly.

Extremely unprofessional. SCAM. They don't follow the DMV laws. They only gave my son an additional 5 feet instead of 6 ft (the Michigan standard) when he parallel parked. He touched the line and she failed him. According to the law touching the line is 1 point off and you must lose 7 total points to fail. Do not go to them unless you want to waste your money!!!!!

This woman was amazing! I would reccomend her to anybody! I have no idea what rudeness "Katie" is talking about in the previous comments.



Erin made me feel super relaxed and confident! Polite and definitely doesnt smell like cigs? wtf in all honesty that shouldnt even be in a review.. because its about driving.. not how she lives her life.



She is strict.. but she has to be! we are learning to drive thousands of pounds of machinery that kills more people than any disease.. so yeah.. if you cant drive.. you wont pass.. lol



She is a wonderful teacher.. and by far the most professional I have come across!



Id rate 5 stars every time! and refer anybody to her!

My son had his road test with Erin and she was great. She gave thorough instructions and was very nice. My son was comfortable with her and especially her instructions.I was very impressed and would recommend this company for sure.

I used American Driver Testing for my Son's road test. I was pleased that we didn't have to wait long to get an appointment. The examiner made my son feel very comfortable. I was very impressed with the road test given and would highly recommend this company.
