The Urbana Public Works Department provides management and maintenance of public works facilities. The department provides infrastructure maintenance, engineering services and landscape recycling. It performs engineering design and construction management services for transportation improvement and construction projects, which include streets, curbs, sidewalks, streetlights and traffic signals. Its arbor division provides watering, pest control, clearance trimming, trees maintenance and planting services. It operates an equipment division that performs preventive maintenance and repairs on city vehicles and major equipment. The department's engineering division provides citywide mapping support, infrastructure design and construction management services. Its public facilities division provides maintenance for all municipal buildings and grounds. It also offers administering contracts for elevator services, boiler inspection, and architectural and mechanical services. It is located in Urbana, Ill.
