I have visited FF about six times before, could never complain till this past Sunday. I ordered the Eggplant dish. It came to me looking like a pot pie with a thick layer of cheese and never saw anything that looked like eggplant. I tasted better from a Chef Boy-r-Dee Box. It had cut small pices of angel hair pasta mixed up with some kind of mush. Needless to say I filled up on the side dishes. I also looked forward to the gift shop which now closed up. I rated the service that was excellent.

I went with my familly for celebrating my birthday. There wre ten of us. The crab cake was good but as the prices for it have gone up the amount of crab meat has definitely gone down. The canned vege's are the same drabby vegetables but the hush puppies and apple butter make up for it. The chicken has always been the best. I don't think they can start serving smaller chickens like the crab cakes. Service is always friendly and accomodating. I guess the increase in prices makes you think the food portions would stay the same. The whole place could use a little sprucing up but thats how it has always been and I guess it will always continue that way. A few bucks to update and renovate sure would make it a nicer experience.

Friendly Farm makes the whole family happy! Delicious home cooking served family style and they have THE BEST crabcakes - all jumbo lump crabmeat! Not a plush, fancy restaurant but reminds you of an old fashioned Sunday dinner at Grandma's house.

I've been coming to FF for about 10 years now, and have recently taken it off of my list of places for a family dinner. The entrees are just "ok" and, contrary to a prior review, the crab cakes are filled with filler and are NOT lump crab. The seating area needs to be cleaned up and modernized a bit, as it's starting to take on the same ambiance you would expect in a nursing home. Some easy fixes would make this the same great spot I discovered 10 years ago. Clean up/modernize the dining area, use fresher ingredients (stop with the canned and frozen sides!), and ride the coattails of the "local food" movement by incorporating ingredients from actual farms! You are Friendly FARM for crying out loud! The rolls are good, the apple butter is probably some of the best I've ever had, and the other baked goods that are for sale in the front are definitely worth picking up. Bottom line - please do something to make me want to drive out of my way to get there.

if you're in the area you HAVE to go eat at friendly farms. They have the absolute best food and the nicest people. After you order your meal you get all you can eat side dishes including sugar rolls at your table. and best of all their crab cakes are many lumps of delicious crab meat with little filler yum
one of my favorites for families, prices are reasonable the portions are huge .you need to get there early on the weekends but worth the little wait

This family restaurant is exceptional for all ages. The selections are limited, but broad enough for everyone to get a favorite. The servings are plentiful and we always leave satisfied and stuffed. every time an opportunity arises I don't hesitate to pick Frienfly Farm. We even gave my girlfriend a surprise Birthday celebration there! I highly recommend it.
The food is excellent; the service is excellent. You order before you are seated from a limited (but delicious) menu and the food is served family style. There can be a bit of a wait as it's a popular place. Can't wait till I'm back in the area to go again. Highly recommended!
the best crab cakes in the world!!!! The steaks are also fabulous and the roast beef and ham are delicious. We go there frequently and are NEVER disappointed.
