The Prince George's County Personnel Board is a quasi-judicial agency of the county government in Largo, Md. The board is a five-member board that serves the county government and is nominated by the county executive and confirmed by the county council. Its terms are coterminous with that of the county executive. The Prince George's County Personnel Board serves as a neutral, independent party in the executive branch of the county government that ensures that county departments and agencies make employment decisions in accordance with merit system principles and is kept free of prohibited personnel practices. In addition, the board offers advices on matters concerning the administration of the county classified service and personnel rules and regulations.
