Located in Upper Marlboro, Md., James Madison Middle School offers academic programs to students in grades seven and eight. The school offers a variety of athletic activities, such as baseball, softball, cheerleading, soccer and basketball. It has a parent-teacher-student association that conducts monthly meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school. The school has a staff of more than 75 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes special educators, testing coordinators, parent liaisons, reading specialists, guidance counselors, school nurses, music professionals, media specialists, pupil personnel workers and Spanish instructors. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, math, science, social studies, technology education, reading, English, and special and physical education. James Madison Middle School is governed by Prince George's County Public Schools.
