I flew out to LA to visit some friends from college this past weekend and they took me to Universal Citywalk. My friends knew I'm partial to comics (Marvel universe mostly) so they took me to this comic/collectibles shop. It's really quite unique looking on the outside, though it's really cramped on the inside. They have comics and graphic novels around the edges of the store and figures and toys more in the middle. Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, I wouldn't say it's a comic store, as I didn't really see older comics around...mostly the new stuff from various companies (DC, Marvel, Image, etc). There are a lot of toys from Bandai (I'm partial to the anime stuff like Macross) and various busts and small statues. The prices are kind of expensive (compared to say the internet) but I don't know of too many places that sell this kind of stuff so I guess it's to be expected. Visiting from Chicago, I liked the store overall so it's OK to me.
