Nicola Pemberton, MD, a native New Yorker, graduated with a Biology degree from the University of Miami, and then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine where she lived for two years in the West Indies. During her third year of medical school, she did her clinical rotations in England, which included a neuroscience selective in the Czech Republic. After graduation, she completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Multiple recognitions for her resident teaching lead her to a faculty position at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate. Now, she returns to New Jersey, where she resides with her husband and two children. Dr. Pemberton is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has training in general laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgery (e.g., myomectomy, hysterectomy, ovarian pathology), performs office procedures, such as endometrial ablation, cryosurgery, colposcopy and cone biopsy, and specializes in obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology, and benign adult and adolescent gynecology.
