Founded in 1987, Reed Contracting Service is a full-service heavy construction firm that provides asphalt paving and highway and underground utility construction services. The firm has a work force of more than 200 employees and maintains an inventory of equipment and a fleet of trucks. Reed Contracting Service also offers on-site inspections and quality control evaluation services. It serves various developers, municipal agencies, county governments, and federal and general contractors, as well as the Alabama Department of Transportation. The firm s ready mix division provides ready mix concrete and maintains an advanced art dry batch plant. Reed Contracting Service is a member of the Alabama Road Builders and the Alabama Asphalt Paving Association.
