- Lighting DesignAll on one floor, the space had to function on multiple levels – office, research lab, training facility and art gallery, creating a tremendous design opportunity for MEI to provide state-of-the-art lighting appropriate to each area. Rather than a standard fit-up with 2x4 drop-in fixtures and duplex receptacles throughout, every area was like a separate job - each with a special lighting design and power distribution. For example, lighting in the library is a unique low voltage cable track; that is, electrified cable pulled taut with small fixtures hanging from it.

- Electrical RepairsWhen consolidating two dealerships into a single state-of-the-art showroom, New England Performance Cars chose MEI to provide equally innovative electrical work.
- Fire Alarm SystemsIn terms of job skills, apprenticeship training is provided on-the-job, usually by a mentor, and in the classroom where employees seeking advancement can study to be project managers and supervisors. If MEI employees will be working with a special system, such as fire alarm, teledata or fiber optics, they receive training exclusive to that system. When MEI purchases a new product, process, or piece of equipment, a manufacturer's representative comes on site to give instruction in its use.
