The YMCA of Orange County provides after-school enrichment, youth leadership and development, mentoring and tutoring, youth and adult sports, fitness, camping and family support programs. Located in Tustin, Calif., it has nearly eight branches that serve more than 85,000 residents of Orange County annually. The organization is one of the largest providers of school-age child care services. The YMCA of Orange County offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball football and soccer. It provides outreach programs to address various social issues, such as drug and alcohol, abused children and gang prevention. The organization additionally provides services for people with developmental disabilities. Its youth development programs improve academic performance, develop character and leadership qualities and foster civic responsibility in youths.
