Located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Safe State Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program is a free service provided by the University of Alabama's College of Continuing Studies to small-business employers within the state. The program focuses on companies with less than 500 employees. It provides consultants, who perform surveys and advise companies on health and safety problems in the facilities. It also offers solutions for solving various sanitation problems, identifying other areas where assistance is required and providing a written report summarizing the findings of its survey. Safe State Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program has trained and experienced consultants who provide customized safety and health recommendations to Alabama s industries.
