I dropped off my car for oil change and other service. I was told that I would be called when this was completed. We did not receive a call, but after about 3 hrs. we called and found out that the car was ready. As I was driving home, I heard an unfamiliar rattling sound. The rattling came from the convertible top mechanism, which was not fastened completely. My car is 10 yrs. old, and the convertible top is a little "quirky". I had not driven with the top down today, but obviously someone had put the top down, or at least unlatched it. I am unaware of any service that would require putting the convertible top down other than working on the top itself, which was not the service delivered today. Additionally, though I did not record the mileage when I dropped it off, I did recall what the last 2 digits were. When I picked up the car, the difference in mileage exceeded what I would expect from driving the car in and out of one bay to another, then to a parking spot.

I called this business to find out about scheduling a tire rotation & oil change (really, to find out whether I could drop off in the morning vs. afternoon, since they don't really schedule services per se.) Twice, I dialed the number, and twice, the phone was picked up, then it was immediately hung up. The third time I called, the person picked up the receiver, hung up again, then picked the receiver up and started dialing a number themselves. (The disconnection he was hoping for by hanging up on me did not happen. ) I waited a moment, then said "hello". The man trying to place a call (the man who had hung up on me THREE TIMES) was able to provide the information I requested.

Always, fast and curteous service. These guys really try their best to satisfy and build a relationship with their clients. I've been using them for years and really appreciate them. They are not perfect but they are good people offering quality work and doing it quickly.

We are extremely disappointed with the repair service offered at the Express Oil Change located on Rice Mine Road in Tuscaloosa. A couple of weeks ago our car began overheating, the gauge did not get to the red zone and the warning light and buzzer never came on. We took it in and were told a connection housing was cracked and needed replacement. We drove the car a few more days and it began leaking coolant (it had not leaked before). We took it back in and were told it needed a new thermostat some seals and other parts. These and the first repairs cost $800. Almost immediately, it began leaking again, actually I think it never stopped. We took it back a third time and were told the leak was from the weep hole of the water pump and that they could not repair it. They told us to take it to a full service garage or the dealer. We have paid $800 and our car is actually in worse shape than when we took it in! We will never use Express Oil Change again and recommend you don't either.
