In operation since 1964, Pipeline Industry Benefit Fund is an organization providing health and retirement security to the employees of the pipeline industry. Based in Tulsa, Okla., it is a Taft Hartley trust fund. The organization is a joint effort by the signatory contractors and union to provide accident, health and pension benefits for employees working under the United Associations National Pipeline Agreement. It serves working members, including plumbers, fitters, welders and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) service technicians, among others. Pipeline Industry Benefit Fund is affiliated with the United Association and Pipeliners Union.
