- Labor and DeliveryIn addition to a truly superior safety record, SAA physicians and CRNAs also take great pride in caring for our patients’ emotional needs and recognizing that empathy and kindness are very important for patients undergoing the stress of surgery or childbirth. Patient satisfaction surveys give our clinicians ‘straight A’s’, with over 97% of patients rating the care they received as ‘excellent’, and over 98% reporting that they were treated with courtesy and respect. In addition to preventing serious complications, SAA physicians and CRNAs also devote a great deal of attention to minimizing relatively minor side effects of anesthesia, and as a result, the rates at which SAA patients have post-operative nausea & vomiting, sore throats or headaches are a small fraction of the national average.
- GastroenterologySAA physicians have also presented their research and/or lectured at numerous national and international conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the World Congress of Anesthesia, the World Congress of Pain, the Canadian Anesthetists’ Society, the Postgraduate Assembly in Anesthesiology, the Society for Technology in Anesthesia, the Asian-Australasian Congress of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology, the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, the Western Association of Clinical Researchers, the Medical Monitoring Technology Annual Meeting, the Annual Meeting of Society of Toxicology, the Perioperative Blood Conservation Symposium, the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting, the American College of Gastroenterology and the Annual Scientific Session of the American Heart Association.
