When I first went to LAF on Ina and got a tour, then sat down to fill out forms, I kept insisting that I planned to use my Silver sneakers plan to cover membership. The representitive and another guy kept trying to get me to sign up with a trainer. After going around and around for 1/2 hour I did agree that I would benefit from a trainer as I was recovering from prolonged illness and an injury, and wanted to be somewhat fit for my trip to Alaska in 3 months. The rep said he would get me a deal of 3 months at $167/mo with training. I decided that I could do that. After signing up I kept asking 'This will end in 3 months, right?' He said 'Oh, yes, yes yes'' 4 months later I was still getting billed the $167. I went to the gym to complain, the new representitive looked up my contract and said it was for one year, I had conniptions, and asked how this club could so deliberately con me. He confessed that the 2 guys that signed me up had done that to others, and were now gone. He agreed to cancel my membership.

Another month later I found I had been charged another $167. I went to the club to complain again. I spoke to yet another representitive. He said he would have the region manager call me back. I waited several days, no call. I called the club to complain. He said the manager would be at the club later that day, and he would have her call me. She never did, I've tried contacting the headquarters. They don't answer their phones. I followed instructions to cancel, could not find their online form.

If you are dissatisfied with your membership they don't want to hear from you, they don't care!

A bad place to work out because they barely have any equipment and the kids club doesn't take care of the kids
