My family first ate at this restaurant in 1977 for New Years dinner. I have been going back every time I get a chance. The service is almost always great and their prime rib is awesome. The prices are always affordable and the ambiance is perfect for family or romance. I live in California now and I always recommend friends who visit Tucson that they HAVE to eat there. Many have called from their dinner there and thanked me. LOVE this place for all it stands for. Thanks!

I used to live in Tucson & the food at this place was always legendary. Briefly back in the area, I wanted to stop in again "for old time's sake." Boy was I disappointed! The steak was good, service stellar, but they use margarine & artificial sour cream. The server brought us real butter when we requested it, but who eats artificial sour cream on a baked potato? The stuff is nasty!People concerned with cholesterol aren't usually out for steak & potatoes. Besides, artificial dairy is far worse for people's health than the real thing & the taste is awful. When I want steak & potatoes I certainly don't want artificial (ie: plastic) anything. Everything else was excellent, but I won't go back again. I refuse to eat artificial butter or sour cream. I want real dairy & real beef, PERIOD.I've never heard of an old west steakhouse serving margarine or artificial sour cream. Plastic food is for doll houses. I don't want to eat off plastic plates or cutlery either... is that next?
