About Crew 4-U Video and Film David Spencer his wife JoAnn founded Crew 4-U Video and Film in 1999 to provide location services for broadcast and corporate television productions. Since then, the company continues to serve a variety of clients shooting in Arizona and the old west. Together with their creative team, Crew 4-U Video and Film provides quality production services and network level crew personnel for broadcast and cable companies, syndicated shows, and leading corporations and educational foundations. Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in a working class family that encouraged him to be all he can, Spencer seeks knowledge and adventure through his work and through his personal endeavors. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in television production at the University of Arizona in 1982. While still a student, he began working as a sports photographer/editor for UA Intercollegiate Athletics shooting football and basketball coaching films. He also worked as a freelance news photographer and editor at KGUN-TV in Tucson. In 1990, Spencer began working freelance for a more diverse client base and soon realized he had found something he really enjoys doing and he took the advice of author Joseph Campbell who said "Follow your bliss and doors will open that you didn't even know were there". For Spencer, some of the doors opened so far are Colbert Report Difference Makers on Comedy Central, Known Universe The Most Explosive for National Geographic Television, Breaking Point and War Stories With Oliver North for Fox News Channel, Mrs. America Pageant for Oxygen, Da Ali G Show for HBO and BBC, Respect Yourself The Stax Records Story for PBS, Antiques Roadshow Tucson for WGBH Boston, and Black Cowboys: The Making of Posse for Gramercy Pictures and On the Set. Born in Brooklyn, New York, JoAnn grew up with a love for animals. So much so that she has worked with two animal shelters for seven years and volunteers her time to the Delta Society Pet Partners program helping to bring much needed pet therapy to hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Arizona. She also serves on the National Evaluator Committee for Delta Society and is a licensed evaluator. JoAnn Spencer is business manager for Crew 4-U Video & Film and handles day to day operations of the company. She is usually the first person the client talks with on the phone.
