The best part of our visit to Tucson was the Big Blue House bed and breakfast. Although they really only provide a continental breakfast in the convenience of your own kitchen, we did not mind at all... It was nice to have the kitchen and it saved us money every day. The private entrance was also nice for late night returns. The house is located only two blocks from historic 4th Ave. and we really appreciated the short stroll to a large selection of restaurants and lounges. My wife attended classes at the Historic YWCA and I liked the proximity to the University and the meetings I was attending there. We could not have been more pleased with the comfort and convenience of the place. We have stayed in other University area B&B and we can honestly say; Highly recommended!

Our stay at the Big Blue House was wonderful. The house itself is welcoming and feels like you are coming home each evening. We liked the fine decor and amenities like air purifier. The bottled water saved us money. The kitchen was well equipped and had a nice cont. breakfast in the fridge. We had teas and coffees and cereals and pastries which was far more than we needed. We appreciated the fact that we did not have to enter or exit the main house to access our room. The rate was less than other comparable B&Bs in Tucson and when we asked the owner why the rate was so "reasonable" Lea told us that "when the main kitchen is built, the rates will go up" meanwhile The big Blue House is a steal of a deal by The university of Arizona.

Great location and amenities. Very good value. Close to the University and the Medical Center. Good freeway access.
