Amy Clark, D.O., is a primary care physician who practices family medicine. She is passionate about the needs of transgender patients and reproductive health needs. Dr. Clark enjoys having a collaborative relationship with her patients to help them reach their health care goals. “I share my knowledge and experience with my patients so they can make decisions based on their own personal values,” Dr. Clark said. “And if a patient needs help making choices, I will gladly share my opinion.” Dr. Clark believes it is important to establish care with a primary care provider before a patient becomes ill because it can aid in prevention or early detection of any health issues that may arise. She takes an empathetic approach with her patients, drawing from her own experiences. “I am a patient on so many levels,” she said. “I know what it’s like to navigate the health care system in the U.S., and I understand that quality of life can be more valuable than quantity of life, so I always keep that in mind when I am helping patients make decisions about their care.” Dr. Clark earned her medical degree from Touro University Nevada School of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Vegas, and completed her residency in Detroit and Tucson.
