Emory Genetics Lab is a part of Emory University and is located in Decatur, Ga. It has a general genetics clinic, which has a team of physicians and genetic counselors that serves children and adults with known and suspected genetic conditions. The lab also operates a metabolic genetics clinic, which evaluates and manages children and adults with inherited metabolic disorders. Its metabolic team also organizes specialized cooking classes. In addition, it has a syndrome clinic, which reviews child chromosome studies, provides developmental screening and discusses the recommended health care guidelines. Emory Genetics Lab offers enzyme replacement therapy, which is used for the treatment of lysosomal storage diseases.
