I used to eat here quite often since they've been open in the area. In all that time they've only messed up my order twice. I don't eat here as often as I've moved away from Troy but occasionally we'll order from them when I'm visiting my mom and nobody feels like making dinner. The food isn't as good as it used to be, but still pretty good.

A great place to dine in or take out. The best in Troy, OH. if you're looking for Chinese food.

The food was bad

Excellent take out place. Very good food and very generous portions. Not much of a place for dine in though. We have never had a problem with incorrect take out orders.

For the hole-in-the-wall that it is, this place has great food. My family and I have frequented them since shortly after they opened and they've definitely improved with time. Their food is never overly greasy (like some other local Chinese restaurants). I've had a wrong order only twice and both times it wasn't that big of a deal although it is pretty obvious that they don't want to correct their mistakes and just try to get you to take what they gave you rather than what you order. Still, best Chinese food in Troy, people are generally nice, the food is fast and yummy. I've had better, but I've also had much, much, MUCH worse.

The Asian Cottage has fantastic food but EVERY time we have gone there our order is incorrect. When we try to have it corrected, the lady behind the counter argues each time. We try to order a regular dinner from the menu and add an egg roll and wonton soup with each order. No matter how many times we explain this and in multiple different ways, we never get two dinners, two egg rolls, and two wonton soups. It gets increasingly frustrating. Although this doesn't seem like a huge deal at first, the fact that of the dozen times we've been there (as I said, the food is great) they refuse to allow us to order items a la carte in addition to our meals. Needless to say we won't be going back for the simple reason that we work hard for our money and we should get what we ask for when we spend it. We are just as happy to go to one of the other two chinese restraunt choices in town. They are just as good as Asian Cottage at extremely competitive prices (if not slightly cheaper).
