Even before opening the doors of the Animal Medical Center of Troy, MO in the spring of 2000, Dr. Ryan McCann's goal was to practice the best possible veterinary medicine while fostering a friendly environment with a highly knowledgeable staff.Today, Dr. McCann has more than achieved that goal. What began as a small practice with one veterinarian and only a few exam rooms has now been transformed into an 8,600 square foot facility with two full-time doctors offering everything from routine wellness care to state-of-the-art diagnostics, surgery, cancer care, and even laser therapy.

Thank you Dr. McCann for putting my families minds at ease when it came time to say goodbye to our yellow labrador Abby. And for sending my Dad a note, that really reassured him that the right choice was made. We had a great 12 years with her and she was lucky to have you as her Dr.

We have been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. McCann since moving to the area in 2007. I have nothing but positive things to say about the doctor and his wonderful staff. Had to recently put our dog down, and the care and support given, was more then words can ever express. I've heard people say that Dr. McCann is more expensive then other vets in town, but I believe it has been worth every penny. Never pressured to do unneccessary procedures, always looking out for the best interest of the animal.

We had taken both our dogs there several times. When it was time to put the dogs down (both dogs, over a year period) they were caring, professioal, and courtious. I just got a new puppy and plan to take him there also.

We have gone to this clinic on a number of occasions. The staff and Dr. McCann are professional, caring, and knowledgeable. We have always received amazing care for our animals. Everything is handled in a first-class manner. We have never been kept waiting for long, and the pricing is fair. I wish there was a rating option for more than 5 stars.

A complete inconvenience... I waited for a very long time in his office, for a very short exam to get a refill prescription for my dog. Then he would not okay my prescription through 1-800petmeds (wanted to sell them to me directly for the revenue). I know that The Missouri Veterinary Medical Board, Minimum Standards for Practice Techniques, 20 CSR 2270-4.031(3(F), as well as The AVMA principles of ethics, requires veterinarians to give their clients prescriptions when requested rather than sell the medication themselves. Getting them online gives a 100% satisfaction guarantee, delivers to my house which saves me time, and the same dog medications for $60+ less a month... I really need to save time and money right now but Veterinarian Ryan McCan just doesn't care.
