ArvinMeritor was formed from the merger of Arvin Industries and Meritor Automotive in 2000. ArvinMeritor is an automotive supplier with a 100-year history of delivering advanced systems, modules and components to the motor vehicle industry. The company manufacturers products for light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer, and specialty original equipment manufacturers and related aftermarkets. It operates two business groups: Light Vehicle Systems and Commercial Vehicle Systems. Light Vehicle Systems manufactures suspension modules, exhaust systems, emissions controls, steel wheels, roof systems, door systems, suspension and ride control components. Commercial Vehicle Systems manufactures drivelines, automatic transmissions and clutches, axles, air system and stability controls, braking systems, trailer suspension systems and emissions systems. It also manufactures aftermarket air and hydraulic brakes, air system components, drivelines, suspensions, axles, clutches, tire inflation systems and truck-related parts and components. ArvinMeritor has headquarters in Troy, Mich., and more than 120 manufacturing facilities in 25 countries.
