Brookfield Academy, founded in 1964, was the first Montessori school in Michigan. The school began as a kindergarten and now offers lower and upper elementary programs as well. It offers the students individualized and non-graded curriculum and several other programs in art, French, music, computers and physical education. Brookfield also offers a childcare program before and after school timings. Its soccer team has participated and won in many junior varsities and varsity level competitions statewide. The school arranges summer camps for students aged between 3-years to 12-years. Its staff members are certified in first aid and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Brookfield academy has campuses in West Bloomfield, Troy and Rochester Hills, Mich.
