Troy Bank and Trust is the only bank I have ever used for checking, savings, auto loans, ect. I applied for a home loan with them and was pre approved July 2013. Well guess what? As of 01/03/2014 my loan is as not closed as a loan can be. I went for months with absolutely NO communication from the staff there, despite numerous mail, voicemail attempts at contact. My application has literally sat around for what reason I am not sure as I cannot communicate with anyone there. I encourage others to please use another lender, this type of service is unacceptable, I wish I would have read the other reviews before I proceeded with this application, I just assumed that the bank I had always used and all of my other business was with would be the route to take. Please do not apply for a home loan through this company!

Still trying to close my new home loan. It has been 6 weeks with little or no communication from this bank and refusal to return messages. I am having to rent my home from my builder due to accepted incompetence such as mistakes on paperwork, redundant requests for information, and a complete lack of concern for communication of status. After 4 weeks of waiting after preapproval, we had to change loans because we didn't quality for the previous preapproved loan as requirements were never discussed, just that we qualified.. We have since heard of their reputation for no customer support. Go to Regions.
