I heard about Outback Campground last year when I visited friends near Trinity. So when we decided to take a trip to Trinity again we decided to stay at the Outback campground. We were late making a reservation (10:30 pm friday night) and the place was full. The owners put us up in a large mobile home that was being renovated at NO COST that night. The next 4 days we were accommodated into one of their lovely one bedroom cabins. These are very cute, full kitchen, full bath, living room. Beautiful, clean, courteous, peaceful. The best description I can give! Don't miss this place, you will be sorry.

What a great atmosphere! These people who now have the campground have done such a wonderful job! I have come here for seven years and now the place is better that ever. New additions include freshly painted shower house that are cleaned daily. New swim beach that was standing room only on memorial day. What a kick. The water park for the little guys was blown up and running most of the weekend along with a slipnslide for the older kids and me LOL! People are great here we had a great time with all of our neighbors and hosts. There is a really nice camp host that will do anything for you and even show you where to catch the fish which we did! Rented the Pontoon $375.00 for the day while we tried to find the best price and this was it. All the other marinas were well over 400.00 a day for pontoons. Run well, super residents and an owner who takes no bull from and problem folks. Just sees em out. nigh or day. Camp host may keep you awake at certain times as he runs security

Bottom Line: Don't go here. We just didn't feel safe. Too late to make a reservation for Memorial Day Weekend, I found this place on Livingston Lake. The young man on the phone made it sound so lovely, with a swim beach nearby and lakeside views. I was excited to find something special for my family. Unfortunately, the moment we turned off the main road, it became clear to me, we were in trouble! This place was crammed full of boats, dirty trucks, off road vehicles, old decrepit RVs and disgusting bathrooms with no shower to be found. No swim beach to be found, just a cheap water slide and blow-up play slide for kids. The RV sites were haphazardly plotted and too close together with no ability to enjoy an evening with family outside the RV.

My husband and I were looking to rent a canoe for a few hours and we tried a number of places that turned us down, either because we were not lodging with them, or because they rented other forms of water craft but had no canoes. We finally fount Outback Campground and Marina. The owner was very relaxed and friendly. We had called in advance to make sure that they would rent to us, and by the time we arrived, the canoe was already prepped and waiting for us. The rental rate was also very reasonable- the best price we've found to date. We had a great time and were very pleased with our experience. We will definitely be back again, but next time we'll be sure to bring our fishing poles and a tent!
