Joined the gym due to ownership changes at old gym. When previous gym had new owners I went back to old gym. Called Snap Fitness in Trevor and told them I no longer needed the membership. They told me that I had to give them a 30 day notice, so I had to pay for the next month and that I would no longer be charged after that. I paid for the next month even though I did not need it. Months later, they were still billing my CC although I was told they would quit billing me the month after I contacted them. I disputed the charges on my CC which I was rewarded back since I had told them I no longer wanted the membership and I had not been there in months. 6 Months later I got a call from a collection agency saying I owed them for the months I did not attend. I explained that I spoke with an employee at Snap Fitness in Trevor and the employee told me my membership would end after the 30 day notice. The collection agency told me that cancellations need to be done "In Writing" and a verbal cancellation over the phone is not adequate. If they must have cancellations in writing then their minimum wage employees should inform people of that when you call to cancel. BE SURE TO GET YOUR MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION IN WRITING SO THEY DON'T TRY AND SCREW YOU TOO!!!
