Great experience! Had 3 nonworking cars (1988-94) to sell 2 raise money toward another car. On a recommendation, I called & left a message on the Sat. a.m. before Superstorm Sandy. I quickly rec'd a return call from John, who offered me a very good price for the cars - better than all places I'd researched. He said he'd send 2 trucks which should reach me within an hour. True to his word, 1st driver arrived in 45 mins. Having no idea what to expect, Jerry walked me thru everything & within mins, 2 cars were gone & I had full cash in hand, no hidden fees for notary, towing, etc as some other places charged. Second driver ran a little late but called to let me know his ETA, then called again as he approached. Due to position, 3rd car was tougher to remove but Luis quickly & efficiently took care of it. Both men were kind, respectful & helpful, even answered ?'s on car buying issues. As a 24/7 caregiver w/my hands full, I very much appreciated the care they showed. Total process= 3.5 hrs.
If it were possible to give a negative value on the stars I would. This company has made today a living hell for me. I am moving to New York today and had arranged for this company to pick up my car through junkmycars.com. The dispatcher Jennifer called the tow truck driver Jerry while on the phone with me and he was to come out this morning. The scheduled time comes and goes, and the only person answering the phones stops answering instead of having the decency to tell me they aren't coming. Now I am sitting here with a moving truck and a kid, trying to find a junkyard open on Sundays (oxymoron) where I can get rid of my car. The only people happy right now are the movers sitting outside being paid by the hour. The least Kaars could have done was tell me they messed up and weren't coming, though I have my doubts that the guy answering the phones this morning was even capable of forming a sentence long enough to tell me that. Horrible, horrible company!!!!
