Northern Michigan Supply Alliance performs a wide range of supply-chain management functions for its health care member firms. Based in Traverse City, Mich., its services entail coordination of value analysis and product selection, placing and following through on all purchase orders, managing accounts payable (including invoice payment) and all logistical functions, such as warehousing, break bulk and internal supply distribution. The alliance's members include Munson Healthcare, Mercy Hospital Cadillac, Mercy Hospital Grayling, West Shore Medical Center and the Northwest Michigan Surgery Center. Northern Michigan Supply Alliance is affiliated with Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), to name a few.
