Established in 1938, J&S Hamburg provides mouth-watering, hand-dipped shakes, flat-top burgers, the best Reuben sandwich in the state, skin on fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, homemade soups, chili, sandwiches, homemade cakes, pies, pastries and more! We are open from 6AM until midnight on Monday and Tuesday. We are open 24 hours Wed-Saturday and close Sunday at 3PM. We have abundant patio seating in the spring, summer, and fall! lot of smokers sit outside the door all the time, drink coffee and basically make the place look like a place for deadbeats. Table dirty with dishes when we entered, waitress sitting down with other people. Bad food--greasy and the cook not clean looking. Could be a great joint, great location for tourists. I wouldn't advise eating here. They were rated best burgers(thats why we went in and stayed despite atmosphere and dirty place) but if you like food, the burgers are not best in town-- unless it's three in the morning (they are open 24 hrs on weekend) and you are drunk. It's a DIVE!
