  We offer general services, such as regular dental cleanings, digital x-rays, tooth-colored fillings, to more advanced treatments like root canal therapy, dental implants, dental bridges or crowns, dentures and more.
• Fluoride Treatment
  A pediatric sealant provides your child with a barrier that prevents bacteria in the developing molars. Usually around 6-12 years of age is when the fist and second permanent molars begin to erupt. If a sealant is applied, it is extremely effective in preventing future cavities. Fluoride treatments can be applied to your child's teeth as well to further minimize future cavities from forming. Preventative care is our priority.

• Resin Composite
  Tooth fillings of the past used to be composed of a mixture of metals and were very obvious, but today's fillings can be virtually undetectable using composite resin. If you need a filling, we can color match the resin to your existing teeth to make your smile appear natural.

  Trappe Family Dental also performs cosmetic dentistry. If you are trying to improve your smile, we offer professional teeth whitening, clear braces, porcelain veneers and cosmetic bonding.
• Crowns
  An implant crown isused to cover a dental implant and acts as a replacement tooth. They will work and look like your natural tooth.
• Bridges
  A dental implant is a natural-looking artificial tooth that is placed in your mouth to hold a replacement tooth or dental bridge. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to a sports-related injury, tooth decay, excessive wear and tear or periodontal disease.

Endodontics

• Root Canal Treatment
  Also known as Endodontic therapy, root canal therapy treats an unhealthy or injured tooth. A root canal eliminates infection and contamination in the hollows of your tooth. Your tooth will be shaped and filled with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha and a sealer paste to prevent future problems. Although root canals are feared, at Trappe Family Dental, we take every effort to make sure your procedure is comfortable and painless.

Periodontics

• Deep Cleaning
  Periodontal Therapy is a non-surgical deep cleaning or scaling of a tooth's surface. This therapy reduces plaque buildup on your teeth and eliminates the inflammation that can lead to periodontal disease or "periodontitis".

Prosthodontics

  A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available - complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

  In 2007 he joined Trappe Family Dental as a full time dentist where he continues to serve the community. He has consistently stayed up to date on the most current dental advancements through active participation in continuing education courses. He is a graduate of Rosenthal Institute where he completed a renowned Aesthetic Advantage program. In addition, he holds a certificate in dental implant surgical placement.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

• Oral Surgery
  Dr. Haesung Chung graduated from Columbia University in New York City with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Upon graduation, he worked as a research assistant at the Cell Biology lab of Columbia University School of Medicine where he helped publish a number of papers in prestigious medical journals. During this period he discovered a passion for dentistry while shadowing a local dentist for a number of months. He was ecstatic when he was accepted into The School of Dental of Oral Surgery at Columbia University, one of the top dental schools in the country. Four years later, he graduated from dental school in the top 15% of his class where he was recognized for clinical excellence and good work ethics. Upon graduation, he moved to the suburbs of Pennsylvania where he started working as an associate at multiple dental offices.
• Tooth Extractions
  A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, including tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to render the tooth non-restorable. Extractions of problematic wisdom teeth are routinely performed, as are extractions of some permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment.
