Founded in 1914, Madruga Iron Works Inc. is a metal fabrication and machining firm based in Tracy, Calif. It is northern California's leading manufacturer and developer of covers and hatches in steel or aluminum for the underground utility industry. The firm now specializes in manufacturing prototypes and custom items in steel, stainless steel and aluminum for electrical, telecommunications and other utility markets. Operating from a 70,000-square-foot fabrication facility, Madruga Iron Works Inc. uses robotics as well as computer and laser technologies for its equipment.
