General Info
Dr. Fedder is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon experienced in all aspects of spine and neck problems including the treatment of arm pain, cervical disc herniations, myelopathy, cervical stenosis, leg pain and weakness, lumbar stenosis, sciatica, lumbar disc herniations, tumors, and infections. From common to complex spine problems, all procedures are approached with the smallest incisions possible to perform the appropriate operations safely. Dr. Fedder's goal is to achieve maximum benefit with the least disruption to your body. Whether a procedure is one hour, such as a lumbar discectomy operation or a 3-6 hour procedure such as a complex cervical or lumbar surgery, the treatment program needs to address each person's unique personal and family situation. In addition, Dr. Fedder is incorporating special protocols. For example, Dr. Fedder uses a method of skin preparation along with pre-operative antibiotics that have minimized the risk of infection. Post-op pain relief is also handled in a novel fashion to minimize your anesthetic and analgesic medication needs. Complications can happen but it is Dr. Fedder's goal for you to have successful surgery but also minimize and hopefully eliminate your risk of complications. All of our efforts are to provide you with a routine and uneventful experience.
