Bear's Paw Fabrics opened their doors in April, 1996 in Towson, MD and a year and a half later, opened the second store in Ellicott City. The name was chosen by the owners Doug and Judy Munro, because of their love of animals and bear's paw is a popular quilt pattern. We are a Bernina of America dealer, displaying the latest sewing and embroidery models, software and accessories to make your sewing experience the best it can be. I was shocked to read the 1 bad review on this store. I have been in the store many times and always feel so welcome. I don't go there often enough to be remembered by the staff, but each time I have been there, all the ladies are very friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful selection of fabric and many finished products on display. I can't say enough nice things about the store or the staff. Carol Little

I've never been to this shop, but I have dealt with them. I own a pattern company and have sold patterns to them. The first order, no problem. The second, no payment. Many email and notifications...unanswered. Seller beware!
