The Torrance Transit System is administered by the government of the City of Torrance in California. Established in 1940, the department provides transportation services within the City of Torrance, Los Angeles and Long Beach in Califronia. It also offers services to commuters traveling to and from the Metro Blue Line Artesia Station and the Los Angeles International Airport. The Torrance Transit System serves Gardena, Redondo Beach, Lomita, Carson and several other communities within the South Bay region of Los Angeles County in California. Additionally, it offers a variety of other services to residents of the South Bay area. The Torrance Transit System administers the Torrance Community Transit Program, which provides taxi services to disabled and senior citizens.
