In a new home, far from familiarity, with my husband on a business trip, I woke with a start to a climbing blood pressure, a thumping heart, and numbness in my left arm at 2:00 in the morning. Knowing that there is only a small urgent care near my new home, I called my Urgent Care in Pasadena. I was in trouble and reached out to something familiar. My call was picked up by STACY SALMON, part of the THN. Stacy saved my life! We did a triage right on the phone. She calmed me down as we went through the various things that could be going wrong. Finally, as the numbness was not subsiding, Stacey said, "While you have me on your cell, I want you to grab you landline and call 911. I will stay on the phone with you. Stacy stayed on the phone with me for 35 minutes. She was knowledgable and reassuring. She helped me explain my vitals to the EMTs and firemen when they arrived. I was so blessed that night to have had Stacy on the other end of my phone to get me through and incredibly terrifying and serious evening on my own. THANK YOU, Stacy, from the bottom of my heart.
